There are plenty of tiny islands in Malaysia. Tioman and Rawa are the very best islands among them. Even though Rawa is not well known, it is a beautiful island in Malaysia. It normally requires 7 hours to reach Rawa from Singapore where as Tioman normally requires 8 hours to travel from Singapore.

Honeymooners and recently weds would love to visit this Islands and experience the joyful and calm environment. Let’s see more details about these islands in this article.

It does not mean that only honeymooners or newlyweds can enjoy in the islands. Before knowing about the Tioman and Rawa, I would like to talk about a popular tourist destination in Terengganu. It is called Pulau Perhentian. It is a beautiful island destination for those who love to take adventure travelling.

Ferry travel- Singapore to Tioman:

To go from Singapore to Tioman, you really should initially take a six-hour bus journey to Mersing or Tanjung Gemuk.
Your ferry ride can be cancelled thinking of the tidal troubles or lack of passengers.

So there won't be any assurance that you would have frequent ferry rides from ...
... Mersing or Tanjung Gemuk. The one way ticket fee will be RM35.

The ferry company:

Blue water Express offers great ferry rides to Tioman. If you the ferry is overcrowded, it is better to wait for the next one.

Tanjung Gemuk ferry terminal:

Travelers can get meals, drink, beachwear items and clothing at the Tanjung Gemuk. You will need to have Malaysian Ringgit prepared to do any shopping.

Shopping is possible with only Malaysian Ringgit. Even if you are just getting down at the Stopovers, you cannot do anything without Malaysian Ringgit. Foreign currencies will not be acceptable in any shops or even rest rooms; you need to pay in Malaysian ringgit. It is better to keep the Malaysian Ringgit ready before you travelling to Malaysia.

Ferry from Mersing to Rawa:

Rawa is a non commercial island well-known for its calm and peaceful atmosphere. It is not like Tioman. It is totally away from the purchasing environment and commercialization. It will be good travelling to this island from Mersing through ferry.

The amount of ferry rides will be high for the duration of the peak season.

The peak period commences at the month of April and it ends in the month of October. The ferry trips will be relatively much less when there is off season.

The ferry tickets can be registered at the resort workplace on Jalan Abu Bakar in Mersing.

Flight from Singapore to Tioman:

An additional alternative is to take a 35-minute aircraft trip from Singapore. Berjaya Air costs $86 for one-way. As of now, promotions and offers are offered. Every day trips/peak period, and various occasions a week during the monsoon time.

Best travel packages:

Travel packages are the affordable way of budget travelers. It charges only $130 for three days and two nights stay at Paya seaside resort.
Also it assists us to stay away from the problems of booking tickets individually.

Perfect travelling time:

Tioman' and Rawa's local weather is related to Singapore - very hot and humid. Lowest temperature is 20°C at night, to 30°C in the day.
Stay away from travelling to these islands in the course of the month of December till February. There will be rainy period and it cannot be the best time for your enjoyments.

I recommend downloading one of the good iPhone travel apps. This is a good way to find out about bus connections and travel schedules when you are located in overseas. If you do not want to bring along your expensive iPhone or a similar device, go to the web sites.

April to October is the best time to pay a visit to these islands. Travelers can get pleasure from the water sports activities like swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving. Adventure lovers would enjoy the great time being in these seashores.
