Tattoo Removal: Different Ways To Remove Permanent Tattoos

A tattoo is a design on skin that can be either permanent or non-permanent. The non-permanent ones are known as temporary tattoos. Temporary tattoo removal is not a big hassle. Removing the permanent ones are a complicated affair because they are made with tattoo needles to insert the ink design into the skin. These needles are attached to needle bars puncturing the skin 50-30,000 times a minute. Professionals very well know how deep to pierce the skin to make the permanent mark. Not going deep enough will cause scratch marks to the individual getting tattooed and going too deep will cause much pain. The time span it takes for tattooing depends upon the size and intricacy of the design.
Thus permanent tattoo removal can turn out to be a complex process. If you have a tattoo and want it to be removed completely or partially for any reason, you must first consider your different options available and then decide on the method which might suit you the best. There are many ways to remove a tattoo.
Among the several tattoo removal options, the one that has gained immense popularity is the laser removal method. They ...
... work by targeting the ink with the pulses of highly intensified light. This helps to break the ink into several fragments that gets cleared off with an individual's own immune system. However, if you think all this removal can be possible with only one treatment, you are wrong! The more you get treated, the more will the laser be able to penetrate for destroying the ink.
Intense Pulsed Light Therapy (IPL) is a dermal enhancer that is used in spas. This method uses high concentration light in the same way as laser light. First a gel is used on the skin and then a wand for emitting the light pulses onto the area of the skin that is being treated. This process is more effective and less painful than the traditional laser removal option.
There are other medical processes of removing a tattoo. Dermabrasion is a process that would sand away the skin's top layer through abrasive friction. Excision is also a method of removing these permanent markings on skin. It is a process where the tattoo would be cut away and skin sewn back together. Both these methods are very painful and are used only in extreme cases where laser therapy is not an option.
There are many tattoo artists who can fade a tattoo by tattooing saline solution in the area where old ink resides. However, here tattooing doesn't mean injecting. This method is very much useful with older tattoos. After implementing this process, one can easily cover up the tattooed area with a new tattoo. No harm is inflicted on the skin with this process and anyone wanting to lighten the existing tattoo can try out the fading procedure.
