In this condition of hypothyroidism, sufficient amount of thyroid hormones are not produced by the thyroid gland. This condition is related with some common symptoms like constipation, fatigue, slow heart rate, mental depression, irritability, weight gain, extra sensitivity to cold, swollen eyes, headaches, hair loss, slurred speech and depressed immune function. The problem of hypothyroidism is caused by insufficient production of thyroid glands, sometimes due to pituitary deficiency and inborn error of thyroid gland. Some other factors include heredity, physical and emotional stress and some faulty style of living whereas in hyperthyroid the thyroid gland is overactive which produces excess amounts of hormone.

4. You should increase the level of your activity as it is very much helpful in reducing the symptoms of hypothyroidism. Your increased activity level is related with the weight loss and weight loss is necessary in the problem of hypothyroidism.

5. You can use coconut oil in place of normal cooking oil. You should take more proteins, fruits, grains and vegetables in your diet. Try to take frequent small meals instead of large two or three meals. It is said that the supplements like black Cohosh, Siberian ginseng and Spirulina are very much effective in reducing the problem of hypothyroidism but you should take this medicine after consulting some specialist for proper dosage.
