Styling a home so it looks nice is one thing, but finding a style that feels homely, comfortable and creates the right atmosphere takes more than the odd stylish item. Once you have a theme you can create the perfect feel by choosing the right accessories that fit with the theme or style.

Creating the Provencal feel in your home is very easy. The French country home look is all about bringing the beautiful countryside into your home. If you have been to Provence you will know the colours and look I am talking about. Those that haven't been should check search on Google images for Provence landscapes. You will see beautiful lavender fields, sunflowers so to bring this look into your home the colours for fabrics, textures and accessories should be yellow, green, purple and golds.

When you look at the French countryside it's easy to see why this country setting is an appealing one, and why people want to bring this comfort and warmth look to homes. You can theme your whole house of this theme or just have a couple of themed rooms.

Kitchens and dining rooms can be decorated with bistro curtains, copper ...
... cookware hanging from the ceiling, wrought iron hardware and wooden furniture. Accessories will finish off the look such as handmade brightly coloured French potter y tableware sets, plates, pots and the like. Provencal tablecloths need to be highly ornamented or elaborate with Provencal motifs. Most Provencal tablecloths are made from 100% cotton, but now you can get the same tablecloths coated with teflon anti stain so that you can wipe them clean easily. You can even get matching or contrasting placemats & breadbaskets which really finish this look off.

There are a couple of styles that are both French which can be incorporated into the design. There is the country and retro style which is oldie looking accessories. Metal egg holders, kitchen roll holders and French style blackboards. You can even get wooden cheese graters which look totally retro. The other French style which will also go into a country themed home is the fun and quirky look. Bright colours is what this French theme is all about, you can get all sorts of accessories in bright turquoise, lime green and fuschia. Checks and spot designs are a common pattern with this style; you can get chopping boards, knife and fork sets, plates and bowls to match.

Finding accessories to create this country feel is easy these days, you don't have to travel to France and trawl the streets of Provence to find all the boutiques. There are some beautiful online boutiques which are dedicated solely to selling handmade Provence home accessories. So you don't even have to leave your home, you can relax at home with a glass of wine and surf the net until your heart's content.
Boutique Provencale have a beautiful range of Provencal Tablecloths and French Pottery which will give any home that French country style look.
