The English comedian Peter Kay has made his name as a stand up comedian, actor, director and writer. Right at the beginning of his career as a fresh comedian he won the North West comedian of the year award in the year 1996. He had only performed at two gigs by then. That was just the beginning. After that he has won 4 Royal Television Society Awards, 4 British Comedy Awards which included the award of writer of the year and also the Rose D’Or. He has stated that out of all jobs he did before turning to stand up comedy, he like the Usher’s job at a local cinema in Bolton. This was because he got to see all the movies for free, got free sweets and even told the people who were just going in for the movie about its ending.
