The road to a great job is different these days than in the past, as now a college certification is not a guarantee that you will get a job that you can make a living from. After I had piled up a huge amount of debt when I went to school the first time, I was again considering returning to learn about business this time so I could start up my own business with knowledge already. Although, when I told a friend who is a corporation owner, he said that I could learn the best if I did it on my own. The first step was to get a bunch of books about the topics that I was interested in online. This got me going and then I learned a lot of other tips on how you too can learn on your own.

It was significant at first to draw up a schedule of what I would learn. I decided to imitate the plan of the local university, so I checked out a similar course and designed my schedule like theirs. I like the learning that I'm doing so it is fun to read up on something that I am interested in and pertains to what I am doing. ...

Not only that, but I have to go even further and draw up reports and really analyze what I am learning. In class the professor would grade papers and evaluate your work so that you can learn more, but I started my own free blog and would post my papers online for others to see. Some of the readers of my website give me great feedback, although sometimes it is my sister or my grandmother who just have a lot of nice things to say, but I try to find people with expertise to look at it.

I also joined some forums and social networks online where those with the same business interests can get together and share what we are doing. This is kind of like a course in school, except we are all there because we are passionate about learning more and getting better at business.

Getting to know the experts in your field should be a goal of yours, because you can learn more from the professionals in your field that you can from reading a book any day, usually I contact these people through their website. It is very important to know the right people, so put a lot of your energy into this task and it will pay off in the long run.
