It is advisable to go for home remedies for fever blisters if you suffer from this problem. Immediately you should cut down the intake of food containing chocolate, peanuts and other nuts, grains, peas, seeds, oatmeal and whole wheat products from your diet.

Rub the ice on the affected area for 10 minutes and in every hour. It will prevent the movement of virus to the skin. You can also apply the balm prepared from the extract of lemon in order to speed up the healing process. The healing process of cold sores can also be accelerated by the application of extract of mint. You can also apply the spirit of camphor on the affected area. It will help you in the process of healing.

It is said that drinking several cups of sage tea with a dash of powdered ginger is also effective home remedy for fever blisters. But you should have to continue this process unless you get complete relief. Vaseline is also effective in healing the cold sores. It softens the blisters and thus prevents it from cracking or bleeding.
