Taekwondo is national sports of Korea and is a type of martial arts. It literally means “Break or strike with foot”. In this game, the opponents use both fists and feet to strike against each other. This is very interesting and defensive game in which more emphasize is on defense side, when you are unarmed. This game has gained so much popularity that it is now a very charming event in Olympic Games and known as Taekwondo Olympics.
Traditionally, this game originated in the Korean army in late 50s and early 60s of twentieth century. Actually, this art is combination of three kingdoms of Korea having political differences including Baekje, Goguryeo and Silla. During the time, young people who were interested in that game, trained for strength and surviving skills of Taekwondo. There are several interesting techniques for different types of attacks. It takes time to familiarize your body to each movement, and after that, long term determination along with practice makes perfection and speed in these movements.
Taekwondo is a favorite sport of many sports loving people because it is a multidimensional game. It gives you opportunity to learn defensive strategies. It also gives strength and tolerance to the human body. Moreover, exercises in this martial art enhance the psychological and intuitional capabilities with a great piece of mind. In the beginning, it might look difficult because several muscles of your body will not accept it easily and muscle fatigue along with lack of stamina can hinder your progression towards permanent exercises. Assistance in shape of moral and psychological help is essential in the start of exercises and then when body becomes use to it then you can continue it easily. A sudden stop can bring you to the initial stages and then you have to start everything from the scratch. Therefore, consistency is must to learn it and determination is essential to continue it.
Conclusively, I may say that taekwondo games are a very healthy sport. It is really a great fun to watch taekwondo Olympics, and you can imagine how much pleasure the players will be experiencing during the game. This is healthy and mind recreational activity, which everybody should benefit from.
