Keep Calm And Concentrate On Your Next Career Goal

Board results are out. There are big smiles on some student’s faces and some are going around with long faces. But life goes on. We live in a world where competition and stress go hand in hand. Equipping oneself with tools to combat tension, stress and other similar emotion is the only way to move ahead in life.

Life will definitely be smoother for those who have scored well 12th Exam, but this doesn’t mean that life will be difficult for those with lesser grade or marks. It was the result of you first exam in life; there are many more exams in life: there are many more exams that you would be undertaking. If the result is not satisfactory and matches your expectations, then analyze yourself where you want wrong and what more was required to score better. Ask yourself: Will this result matter in five to six years from now? If no, let it go. If yes, how? Do something about the situation and concentrate on your next career goal.

Student should not show their cowardice resorting to situation like thinking of ‘doing something to themselves’, ‘no food’, ‘keeping mum’ or ‘running away from home’. ...
... Certainly, students look for empathy from their parents and friends and the must get it too. Also, parents must not malise the situation instead of scolding their kids and creating a scene about the average or bad results. Most importantly, they should not make comparison between their kid and the one who has scored the maximum. They must understand that every kid works according to his capability and every one cannot be a topper. Besides, students should take responsibility for their own salves and find means to reduce the anxiety and tension.

Every body cannot be a doctor, engineer or scientist. The country also needs good designers, hoteliers, tourism experts, guides, interpreters language experts, singers, dancers, actors, artists, painters, animation experts, gaming personnel sportsperson, television anchors, news experts, architects, interior designers, radio jockeys, dance jockeys and the list goes on…. Yes, there are specialized studies in all basic foundation level and goes onto diploma and degree levels. Yet, if a student still wants to go for any traditional Humanities Commerce or Science programme, he/she can opt for distance learning programmes side by side.

Time has changed one must look into the above mentioned new emerging career options. Students must assess themselves first and analyze where best they can fit into in accordance with their interest and ability. Parental pressure or peer pressure for a certain programme or subject will land help you excel in life provide you put your heart and soul into it.

Life will definitely be smoother for those who have scored well, but this doesn’t mean that life will be difficult for those with lesser grades or marks.
