Mascara may not be the most popular or well known makeup product; with many women not really feeling it to be a necessary part of their makeup routine, but nevertheless it does play a very vital role. Once initiated into the wonders of mascara it is very hard to do without it, as it enhances our eyes in a manner that is both subtle and prominent all in one.

Properly applied mascara can make your eye lashes look much longer and thicker without giving any evidence of makeup having been used. Of course to achieve this you need to use good quality mascara, such as Rimmel mascara that will not clump and leave lumps on your lashes giving the whole game away. In fact the chemist Eugene Rimmel helped towards creating the mascara we use today and has earned herself and her range an undying position in the line of makeup.

The mascara of old was a messy affair with women concocting different methods at home to darken and lengthen their lashes. Even once a proper product was introduced it was still a messy business to apply it to the lashes as a rod was used which did not help smooth application or regulation of how much mascara ...
... was used.

We modern women are lucky as today it is all neatly packed for us with a simple to use application brush or wand that actually picks up only the desired amount of mascara so that our lashes do not look coated or fake. With a variety of options to choose from we can transform our eyelashes to look longer, thicker, curlier and use different colours, so that we can have a variety of looks depending upon our mood and the occasion. The waterproof version has proved a godsend for women as it has done away with the very unattractive runny mascara that happens even if we get slightly weepy eyed.

Mascara has helped thousands of women achieve big round eyes or seductive eyes without the hassle of sticking on false lashes which cannot be done in a hurry. For working women doing their makeup while rushing to get everything else in the house done and be at work on time, mascara is a most welcome and necessary addition to our makeup pouches. It is handy to use, easy to carry around and does such an amazing job in perking up sometimes tired looking eyes that it is seriously a mystery as to why mascara is not considered the most essential makeup for a woman.
