A Night Out With My Son Teaches Me A Lesson

There aren't a lot of things I would gladly stand in long big crowds waiting for, and after my last time of doing it I realized I could find a better way to shop. He didn't seem to care that I had decided we would wait in line overnight. After all, there was a pretty big sale on a brand new TV. After hours of waiting the store became all sold out. We headed home with our head's hanging low. Considering that we were both having a good time it really didn't amount to much that we came out without buying anything. The people that were waiting behind us in line kept talking about their Newegg coupons. Later when we got back to the house, I remembered what they were talking about and punched it into my search engine.

Right there on the first opening page, was a picture of the TV that we had just been trying to get. It seemed kind of funny to me. I could have done all of my shopping right there in my chair. I could get more than the TV at this site. For the following 45 minutes I sat there and browsed through the different deals.

... on getting. Then I picked up a new camera for my wife. As a gift for my son, I thought I would surprise him with a remote control helicopter. They both spent a lot of time out in the backyard playing and I could just see the both of them having fun with the new toy.

The wife really enjoyed the new camera. She had been talking about the idea of getting one for awhile. She'd been waiting for me to have the time to go with her to the store to pick one out. Monday through Friday I pretty much maintain a structured routine. Each day seems to fly by and before I realize it the whole week is over. We'd talked about going shopping but the closest store that sold the kind of camera she wanted was over 45 minutes away. There always seemed to be a lot of other things on the to-do list on the weekend. So when I got to sit at the computer and help my wife find what she was looking for it was actually relaxing and fun.

By the time Friday showed up, we had already received all of the packages. When my son took his new toy out back to play with it, my wife managed to snap a great photo of the dog jumping up in the air. It's now one of my favorite pictures of our dog. As for me, well I got a moment to sit back and enjoy one of my favorite sitcoms that I hardly ever get a chance to watch.
