The strongest earthquake in Japan last March has sent a lot of repercussions to major industry players most especially among car makers such as Honda, Toyota, and Nissan. This natural calamity forced these car makers’ production to drop which eventually caused vehicle shortages in almost all parts of the world and frustrate a lot car finders who are willing to purchase their cars either by cash or by using some of the available auto financing options. Given this condition, Toyota has previously announced that they are experiencing the difficulties in production and hopes resume its full production by October or November this year.

However, the company has recently surprised some of the new car finders by announcing that almost all of their assembling plants’ productions are rapidly improving faster than expected. Due to this, they are beginning to return to full production capability four months earlier that what was originally expected.

Given ...
... this speed of recovery, Toyota anticipates that this might allow the dealerships’ orders from the factories to increase by 30 percent this June compared to the amount recorded on May. The company also expects that these figures would continue to improve each month.

These preliminary improvements in the areas of production might possibly increase as the weeks go by. This is because Toyota could allow its workers to work overtime and help boost each plant’s production. In addition to this, the company could also encourage their employees to work on weekends to meet the rising demands from consumers. These two strategies are actually viewed by experts as among the most effective methods that Toyota could use to stabilize their issues on vehicle supplies.

This significant boost on Toyota’s production in the US however is only applicable to vehicles that are assembled in various states. This simply means that the production of Toyota vehicles imported from Japan would still wait until October to November to recover fully. This includes the models such as the Prius and the Lexuses. Despite this, the improvements found in most of Toyota’s production plant in the US are actually considered as good signs for the company’s ultimate sales recovery.
