There are two basic forms of constipation - organic and functional. Here, we will look at the functional form of constipation and the home remedy for this form of constipation.

So what is Functional Constipation. It is a form of constipation arising from us not following the correct kind of diet and not drinking enough fluids daily. Lifestyle can also affects the consipation. It is best to have a lifestyle that promote the movement of digested food through the intestines and colon correctly.

Although you may soon discover there are many definitions relating to what exactly consitpation is, but to put it in simple terms consitpation is a condition where fecal matter remains for too long a time in the colon prior to leaving the body through the rectum.

However when using natural remedies to treat constipation, it is important that you keep in mind that not all remedies will work for you and you may end up having to try a different natural remedy or increase the dosage of the one you are already taking. To help you with dealing with constipation over a longer period of time, there are several natural herbal combinations around that are useful and again, these will help to improve the health of colon as well as getting the bowels working and moving again.

As previously mentioned, constipation is caused by an imbalance in the body's natural workings and the function of the body's colon becomes affected, but using natural remedies to treat constipation will help to bring the colon back to its correct state of working.
