When you hear a word retirement it sounds different to different people. For some people it is haunting image of no job and nothing to do routine which peruse them to work more and more and they try to delay their retirement as far as possible. However, there are other people for whom retirement sounds like a relaxed life after hard work of 25 to 30 years. But they don’t have choice but to work as their pensions are low and not much funds available as well as declining interest ratio by bank.

As for these people and also considering 2011 as a tough financial year, Equity Release schemes have been introduced. Through these schemes people with retired life can earn some income and meet the cost of living.

In UK market, there are 3 kinds of Equity Release schemes have been practiced. There are: Home reversion schemes (Sell your home or share it at cost of regular income or lump sum amount), second is Drawdown lifetime mortgage ( you are paid monthly income with no interest and amount of loan ...
... and interest is received after death of client from his property), Third one is Home reversion plan (take money against price of your home and buy annuity which gives monthly income).

Equity release providers are trying to design new plans with different features everyday so that they can give variation to their clients and can meet their needs. Important feature which is under consideration is that how clients can retain their inheritance and also utilizing equity schemes.

Equity release scheme has been misunderstood by many people and there is lots of negative publicity but this is due to lack of knowledge and lack of qualified Financial Advisor. If are able to find a good independent Financial Advisor to advise right plan for you then of course you can enjoy free retired life without worrying about money issues. You should also look out for details yourself because first thing for you to decide is whether you need Equity Release plan or not?
