Fashion Summer Trend - Fuchsia Color Block Dress
This summer color block dresses are a huge fashion trend. You can find them in a number of colors, but tonight we are focusing on Fuchsia in particular. For those of you who may be new to Color Block clothing styles it is a current trend to pair complementary colors with blocks of one color and then a block of another color or pattern . This is also done with large blocks of solid fabric not stripes which is a key distinction. Frequently, we have seen fuchsias blended with plum color tones or darker colors like blacks, blues or grays.
One of my favorite color block dresses in fuchsia is the Tie Short Dress by designer Sweet Pea by Stacy Frati. Sweet Pea as a whole incorporates a variety of patterns and bold colors in distinctive, stylish ways. She consistently designs pieces with lots of bold, bright patterns and offsets or complements them with accenting solid colors for trim or even as solid contrast color lining underneath. In this case, the Tie Short dress features a bold fuchsia pink and brown floral pattern. As contrast, she uses solid brown for the ties at the waist and in the bodice and ...
... around the neckline. Breaking up the pattern with color block for this particular style dress adds a bit of simplicity and elegance to the bold pattern which in turn creates a bold, more feminine look. This dress features a gorgeous floral pattern with lots of color and fuchsia, purples, and coral and orange colors with brown weaved in.
Sweet Pea also designed a gorgeous top with Fuchsia color blocking around the neckline for added contrast, the Bell Sleeve Top features solid Fuchsia contrasted with a black and fuchsia scroll pattern. This top is a great way to wear Fuchsia and we love the style of this top. The v neck accented by the color block Fuschia and then the bell sleeves that add a bit of flair to this top. Sweet Pea features a lot of Fuchsia in their patterns and their pieces are all so figure flattering and feminine.
Color blocking is a great way to make a dress look more slimming and can also break up a simple or drab dress or top with a bold pop of color. Particularly in the summer season, bold colors are a fashion trend all on their own. Color blocks are a great way to invoke a retro look, or at a minimum a distinctive look into classic or traditionally styled pieces. This season bold colors will be very popular and bright colors are great accent colors for added contrast.
As you can see, there are a number of great ways to incorporate color blocking and in particular to incorporate fuchsia into great styled pieces. No matter what your personal preferences are you will find a number of great options that incorporate one of this season's popular fashion trends - color blocking and with an added bonus in fuchsia.
