Nissan’s Ceo Confirms Increasing Leaf’s Supply In The Us By June

The race towards eco-friendly car sales’ dominance continues to heat up. This has been the current game that Nissan and GM’s Chevrolet are trying to play. As a result, a lot of electric car finders are now given the opportunity to take advantage of the benefits that this trend is causing and this could be the in the form of better auto financing rates or possible reductions on the prices of the Nissan Leaf and the Chevy Volt. The competition between the Volt and the Leaf further intensified these past few months after records revealed that the two models’ difference in sales is close.
To strengthen the Leaf’s appeal to new car finders, Nissan is planning to increase the number of units that they would be selling in the US this June. This plan was confirmed by the company’s CEO Carlos Ghosn. According to him, his company would be doing its best to deliver at least 1,500 units of the Leaf in the country. As soon as Nissan delivers this quantity, this ...
... will be the company’s largest Leaf delivery for this year.
Given this plan, Nissan hopes to restart the buyers’ enthusiasm and eagerness to purchase this vehicle model. This is because most Nissan Leaf buyers who made their reservations since last year are getting frustrated with the recent status of their reservations since most of the deliveries of the reserved Leaf are constantly been rescheduled due to the company’s slow production caused by the earthquake in Japan.
Aside from increasing the quantity of Leafs that would be delivered all over the US, Nissan would also be increasing the number of states where this vehicle model would be available. This simply means that instead of selling the leaf in states of Arizona, California, Tennessee, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, and Texas this would be also be sold in other states such as Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Georgia and more states before this year ends.
With this particular confirmation from Nissan’s CEO, car experts currently view that this was probably caused by Chevy’s implementation of new and more active policies to boost the sales of its Volt.
