Volvo Goes Animal-friendly

Volvo continues to upgrade its vehicle safety mechanisms to provide greater security for its occupants. Not only this, Volvo has also been very active in improving their vehicles’ response to pedestrian which became one of the company’s most effective strategy to attract more car finders to prioritize their vehicles over the others as well as the auto financing deals that they provide.
Volvo’s efforts to improve its vehicles’ safety started with their policies that strengthen the individual capability of each of their models in the event of collision. Almost all of these are equipped with airbags and other safety gadgets that make each of these vehicles safer and more resilient to impacts. Due to this, the company has earned a lot of customers from the growing numbers of new car finder.
However, Volvo’s desire to provide safer vehicles didn’t stop there. They also launched their Pedestrian Detection System with Full Auto Brake System. With ...
... this system, Volvo-made vehicles became more pedestrian friendly. The system warns the driver of the presence of pedestrians while the vehicle is in motion. Through this, drivers are encouraged to drive carefully so as to avoid colliding with pedestrians. In addition to this, the system allows the vehicle to apply full-brake when the sensors used sense that colliding with pedestrians is eminent.
This sophisticated system was currently improved by Volvo. This time, the company developed a system that makes use of cameras and radar technologies to detect animals that might wander on the road where the vehicle is travelling. As soon as the system recognizes the presence of animals such as deer and moose, this will then alert the driver of the animal’s presence. Aside from this, the system could also apply full brake automatically when it is needed.
However, Volvo has not yet announced the actual date of the availability of this system. There are also reports that this system is currently designed to detect the presence of larger animals on the road. But Volvo continues to develop this technology and aims to improve this with additional capabilities such as identifying the type of animals that the system senses. This technology will then be installed on the S60, XC60, XC70 and other Volvo models.
