•Bandwidth and Team composition: IP searching requires highly skilled professional searching. Every possible logical combination of the keywords must be considered, for finding quality results.

... Just costs:- It is important not to just go for lower costs but also consider appropriate quality. It needs to be understood that one has to pay for the quality, but right price for good quality is the criteria one should rely upon.

•Look out for distinguishing features:- Good firms will always have multi country presence and also offer best prices, and carry distinguished certifications.

•Multi Lingual capabilities: Often it is important, especially in Prior art search where novelty of the invention has to be determined, multi lingual database searching is performed. It is important to note that certain key strings and keywords get missed while using Google translation or any other machine translation, so presence of native searchers is immensely important.
