Ignoring this could be the biggest blunder for any business organization.
The businesses now need to get the mobile applications developed so that their services and products are presented forth their prospective buyers. Any business that does not opt for mobile applications is now considered foolish to give its competitors a chance to forge ahead and cater to its buyers specially those that use the smart phones to buy the products or services.
If there were a single brand of mobile phone devices or if the platforms used were standardized the matter could be simplified. On the contrary there are multiple brands of smart phone devices and the platforms vary from brand to brand. The application needs to be developed differently for different brands and platforms.
The buyer can order the products or services from any part of the world through the smart phone device that they have. The more the business caters to the smart phone users the more are the chances of generating revenue.
