Going through a breakup is tough and almost anyone has gone through it. Jumping back into the relationship you once had is even more of a challenge. Understanding the opposite sex is harder than rocket science. That’s why there isn’t really an actual manual for it. Every breakup is different but the advice given usually – emphasis on the work USUALLY – apply to any breakup. Unfortunately with how complicated things are with trying to get your ex back, most people commit common mistakes which drives their exes farther and farther away. Here are the things you must, by all means, NOT do when trying to get your ex back.

Chemistry is often ignored when trying to get your ex back. Because your mind is clouded by the misery you’re feeling, it’s too hard for you to think over the decisions you make to patch things up with your ex. You do things that you think would please your former partner but, in reality, is only appealing to you. Remember that men are more attracted to appearance and women, to personality. But don’t let this stop you men from improving your appearance and women from working on your personality. ...

If you think that your weight or your wealth will get you your ex back then you are so wrong. (If you were right, then your ex isn’t good enough for you so forget him or her and move on) The common misconception these days is that people fall for material possessions or physical appearances. The truth is, not everyone is that shallow. In fact most people appreciate the good qualities of a person instead of their wealth and weight. Plus, waiting to earn enough money or losing enough pounds to get your ex back won’t do you any good. You have to start acting on your problem right away.

Another thing you must avoid is BEGGING. By all means please, please, PLEASE don’t act as if you’re life has ended because you two broke up. Sure breakups are nasty but showing your ex how pathetic your life is now that he or she is gone is just really sad and will make your ex lose all respect he or she has for you hence losing any chance of getting them back – permanently. Some get back with their pitiful exes but don’t really last as they will eventually be dumped all over again once their partners have found someone better. And you don’t want to subject yourself to that kind of pain again – with the same person at that.

There are a lot of other common mistakes committed by the broken hearted. These are just three of the most common ones. Just keep in mind that you have to be strong to ensure that your ex keeps his or her respect for you so when you finally get back together, you won’t end up being the needy, clingy, helpless little puppy he or she will eventually get tired of.
