A Discussion About Anger, Part Iv
A discussion about anger in Kundalini_Reiki@yahoogroups.com :

imho ... most people have deep wounds from accumulated past hurts ... it is like a time bomb ... that will burst out when there is a trigger, for example ... a man has a big problem in office with no way out yet ... thus after a very long time ... the stress accumulated and suppressed ... one night when he came home ... his child made a minor mistake ... say drop and broke a glass ... he was so angry over that minor matter ... why? Because the broken glass is a trigger to the time bomb of accumulated lengthy stress
I do not know if this is applicable to your condition, if the time bomb is not there ... it is much easier to control anger caused
by the broken glass but if the time bomb is there ... it is not easy to control the anger ... because the broken glass is only a trigger of a much more severe deep wound.
What to do? Find the time bomb and get rid of it ... how? The time bomb could be anything ... the above accumulated stress ... or even caused by past child abuse by parents or others... in your ...
... case ... if you burst into anger and beat your children often ...
your children could not fight back ... thus suppress their anger again and again ... forming their own time bomb ... the time bomb could burst later when they have their own children :(
Thus ... if you found the causes of the time bomb ... for example child abuse from parents ... you have to forgive your parents or whoever causing the deep wounds again and again (for example in the Open Heart Prayer) until you feel better hopefully your condition is not that serious :)

Maybe as parents it time also to take a look at how we manage our own anger... in the first place did we model ourselves as "happy" parents so that our children could "unconsciously learn" from us :)
After all, our children are just a mirror image of us... :)

Dear Rama: Thanks for your explanation. It gave me another perspective about anger and spiritual growth. I wish I could join sometime the Master Yoga II, and learn how to clean and remove the seeds and the roots of anger and other negative emotions. And fill my spirit with The Love&Light, to fulfill my mission on earth and return HOME.
Of course this is the true anger management program!

As explained by Rama, anger/violence has physical/energical relation to solar plexus. In a severe anger/any negative emotion people can feel bad in his/her "heart"; this "heart" real location is about in solar plexus area.
By logic there is a good way to heal negative emotion; it is to raise mental/emotional awareness. by logic, everything has it cause/root. In the simplest case the root is something at present/near past that can be recognized/remember by the person.
Sometimes I become anger in my work place, and it can be resolved when I found what condition that trigger my anger - or when I trace back to our purpose of life - or when I try to just relax the resolution come by itself.
Then we can hope for no-anger condition by always realize what we do at present, always relax and focused. Continual practice of reiki off course very help (even for an-attuned person).

Agreed :) it is said ... to love others as we love ourselves if we do not love ourselves (because of past angers) then how can we love others (in the present)? Start forgiving ourselves and others? :) As in the Open Heart Prayer

Oh...Absolutely true! The more of that junk in our hearts, the heavier feels, the harder it is to open and love in the present...
Any old emotional baggage we are still holding on to is just clogging up our hearts, preventing us from loving in our present life. It has been so important for me to realize the old grudges etc. are just burdens on our own heart, that just hold us down.... it is such a blessing to be able to release them, to surrender them to be cleansed and replaced by love and light which are the
'proper' ingredients of our heart ;-)
The whole Reiki Tummo practice is about opening the heart, for sure, but I am really grateful for the Open Heart Prayer for making that whole process so crystal clear to me.... helping me to actually feel the 'junk' and also the lighteness when it had been removed.
Thank you for that quote, and letting me remember the beauty of what we are about here... :-)
