Summer is fast approaching and it is about time to start planning on summer travel plans. Torquay of the English Riviera is an excellent holiday destination, offering amazing views, great places to stay and heaps to do. As an added bonus you will not find yourself tired out once you reach there as it is not too far away and travel time will be kept to a minimum.

When traveling it is always wise to choose accommodation that allows you flexibility so that you are free to enjoy all that the destination has to offer without having to worry about returning to your hotel or rest house by a certain time or else miss a pre-paid for meal. That is why when visiting Torquay bed and breakfast is the best option, especially if you plan on going around the place and spending as much time as possible outdoors.

For instance if you are traveling with kids then you will definitely want them to be occupied throughout the day having as much fun as possible. So what could possibly give them more fun than a place called the Rainbow funhouse? Here they are free to run around and play to their hearts content on the race track or the flumes ...
... and slides. There is also a specific toddler area filled with toys that be prepared it could be quite a battle to get your little one to leave! The place offers a café for parents to relax while their children are busy playing.

For something slightly different take your children to visit the Prickly Ball Farm which is a hedgehog hospital, where sick hedgehogs are nursed back to health and returned to their natural habitat.

A definite must visit for this summer is the Torquay Museum which is having a temporary display known as the Secret Egypt which will give children a chance to learn the ‘truth’ about the Egyptian mummies, pyramids and such about this fascinating ancient culture which has given the modern day world so much.

With so much happening not to mention the wonderful destination of Torquay itself, you may find that you do not return to your abode till late night. For bed and breakfasts Torquay has a range of quality options on offer and if you check online you will be able something to suit your specific budget and needs.

Torquay has much to offer with its Mediterranean climate, pavement cafes, the harbor side and other places of interest to visit.
