A little boy think that he is the most unfortunate child in the world, because he suffer from the post polio syndrome, left the lame, and having uneven teeth. He rarely play games with other students, when teacher ask him to answer questions, he always low his head down without a word.

In a normal spring, the little boy's father get a number of trees from the neighbor, he want plant them in front of the house. He told each of his children plan a tree. Father told their children who can plan trees to grow, thus he would give this person a gift. That boy also want to get gift, but when he see others siblings and funny, he suddenly appear another bad idea, he hope his tree die as soon as possible. So, he just pours the tree water two times, and had never to care about it.

A few days later, the little boy see the tree, he was surprised to find that it has grow up a few new leaves, compare to others' trees, his tree is more green. His father fulfilled his promise to buy a gift for this little boy. And told him he must become a good botanist.

After that, he becomes optimistic gradually.

Finally, he understands all things, he returned to the room with tears.

Several years later, although the lame boy could no t become the famous botanist, he becomes a president in United States, and his name is Franklin Roosevelt.

Love is the best nourishment of life, even if is just a spoonful of water, it also can help the tree to grow up. Maybe that tree is so ordinary, inconspicuous, maybe that tree is so thin, even withered, as long as there is the nutrient of water, it can lush foliage, and even they are towering trees.
