Kerala The Wonder Tucked In South India

I wonder why people from across the globe come to visit Kerala. So in order to know the reason I too planned for a vacation along with my family. The summer was just saying hello to all the cities and state of India and as all the school were closed, there was no such good time to visit Kerala, that place which I have heard and studied in several newspapers and travel magazines.

I booked one from the many Kerala tour packages from one of the leading tour operator and he promised to guide us throughout the tour. The day was fixed, Monday and we left for Cochin, a historical Harbour famous since the British rule in India. We reached Cochin the next day and we were led to the pre-booked hotel, which was simply awesome, with well maintained gardens and inside with luxurious room, with neat and clean surrounding. We freshened up and the guide took us for a city tour and later in the evening we were allowed to surf the cool breeze enjoying the panoramic view of the ships proceeding towards the Harbour. ... astounding that simply grabbed out heart. My son and daughter had immense fun while my wife Shilpa was busy looking after giving some tips what to do and what no to. Later in the evening we enjoyed a delicious and mouthwatering dinner at the exotic resort, which gave us an opportunity to enjoy the South Indian delicacies.

Next destination of our journey was Alleppey and it was the first time experince of cruising over a boat over picturesque water, which the locals termed it as backwaters. The inviting greenery and the picturesque view of the surrounding simply added icing on a cake experience to our journey which gave us a wonderful and surprise feeling that is etched to our heart and is going to be with us forever. The cruise over the backwater on Alleppey was simply astounding and it is for sure in the coming time if we go for tours in Kerala, we are surely going to enjoy the houseboat tours over many other backwater destination of Kerala.

Well though it was a short Kerala tour, we managed to explore the hill station of Munnar and more interesting part was cruising on a boat over the scenic lake of Periyar. It was an awesome experience as the boat cruise not only gave us an opportunity to enjoy the view of the scintillating natural beauty but at the same time wonderful opportunity to see the rich flora and fauna of the Periyar wildlife sanctuary which is also a national sanctuary of Kerala.

Well that was about the short and sweet tour to Kerala, and in the next i will share my travel experience to Darjeeling via Jorethang to Pelling, Namchi and Gangtok. These hill stations are truly haven on earth and are sure to adorn your holidays with lifetime memories which you will love to treasure and cherish for a long time to go.
