Anything we wear on our feet that causes discomfort is a real pain. If for a moment you imagine yourself in a dangerous combat zone, running fearfully over rough terrain in the heat, humidity, dust and blazing sunshine, with uncomfortable boots how would that feel? That kind of discomfort could be damn near fatal and that's no exaggeration.
