The Three Major Advertising Methods Used By Landscaping Firms Explored
There are at least three major advertising methods commonly used by landscaping firms. These are the methods used by the firms in a bid to rope in new clients. They are also the methods used by the firms in an effort to build their brands. These are, further, the methods used by the firms in a bid to create public awareness about their businesses - out of appreciation for that fact that such knowledge tends to yield service orders in the long run.
Without further ado, the three major advertising methods used by landscaping firms include:
1. Word of mouth advertising: this is used for both client-acquisition and brand building purposes.
Initially, word of mouth advertising for landscaping firms tends to be about the promoters of newly-launched firms telling people in their social ‘networks’ about the new firms. It is hoped that through such networking, they may be able to rope in their first clients, whom they would then serve well, in order to end up building good reputations (which would automatically bring about more business).

Rather, it is done by the clients of the firms who, upon getting good services from the firms, feel the obligation to ‘tell others’ about the same. 2. Internet advertising: this is used by landscaping firms seeking to get new clients. It is also used by firms keen on building their profiles (that is, firms keen on taking their brand building efforts to the next level).
The Internet advertising is done through a number of mechanisms.
The first one is where newly-launched landscaping firms, whose websites are yet to get good Internet search engine rankings, opt to invest in pay per click advertising.
The second approach is where firms pay to be listed in local online business directories. This way, even if they don’t manage to get good direct rankings for their individual websites, they stand to at least benefit from the good rankings typically enjoyed by the business directories in which they are listed.
We also have some landscaping firms which get into affiliate marketing agreements with Internet markets. The arrangement is typically such that the affiliate marketers include links to the landscaping firms’ websites. The landscaping firms then pay the affiliates a commission, for clients who come to them through the affiliate marketers’ websites.
3. Print media advertising: this was for long the landscaping firms’ favorite advertising approach, before the advent of Internet marketing. Many landscaping firms till use such print media advertising, to target clients who still rely on print media – especially the older generation, who are still the movers and shakers in the corporate sector. Such print media advertising is used by both landscaping firms keen on roping in new clients and landscaping firms keen on building their brands.
