“We are beyond words,” said Sgt. Sherman Weeks, who served 8 years in the US Marine Corps. “My fiancee, Caitlyn Carnes, and I are so grateful and can’t believe in this day and age that fairytales can come true.”

The young couple postponed their wedding dreams due to tough economic times. On Easter weekend, Weeks and his fiancee received the surprise of a lifetime. Weeks is the only surviving son to his mother, who lost her eldest to cancer and her youngest to crime, and Carnes is an only child.
