Present at the event were Jose Maria Barquin, director of the Miami office for the Council of the Mexico Tourism Board (MTB) and was John Bischoff, former vice president of Branding Strategy for the inner city of Las Vegas, who presented the award.

The fifth annual Tourism Marketing Symposium (TBF) is the most valuable and promising network in 2011 for the travel industry in Latin America and the Caribbean, representing the most important meeting point for professionals in the sector who wish to innovate in their business, share knowledge and forge new alliances with a select group from the tourism industry across the continent.

During 2011, more than 200 senior executives will gather at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida, from 4 to 6 May to share their experiences.

In this forum, several case studies and the latest industry trends were also exhibited; participants also discussed a number of critical topics and issues such as consumer relationship with new technologies, among others.

The scope of this event reflects the importance of the award, and the significance of Playa del Carmen’s tourism strength for condo buyers.
