The original Milestone was launched back in 2009 shortly after the arrival of the Google mobile operating system Android. This phone was a shining example of what Android was capable of as it came with excellent entertainment and professional features that satisfied all forms of phone users. Where this phone really stood out however was with its QWERTY keyboard that made it a great messaging device. It now features a new 5 row design that makes it even more ideally suited for typing than earlier phones. There are plenty of features in which you will want to put this to good use, including threaded SMS, email, instant messaging and social networking.
And the phone comes with excellent social networking support thanks to the Android operating system and Motoblur interface in use. While at present it is speculated that the Milestone 3 will run on Android Gingerbread it is highly likely that by the time of its release around September 2011 the phone be will able to run on the next Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
Either way it will come with access to Android Market and be able to make use of all of the fantastic games and apps on offer there. There will also be good support for music and video playback including online video from YouTube, and this will be one of the main areas where you will really feel the benefit of the qHD screen.
The phone is also likely to include a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, touch focus and geo-tagging and will come with HD video recording support. This may be 720p as rumoured but could much more likely be 1080p video support.
The Milestone series has been a hugely popular series of phones since its first launch back in 2009.
