When I discovered that my sister back in Ohio was getting ready to have a baby, I knew that I was going to want to be there with her and the rest of our family to welcome in the new addition. In order for me to be as comfortable as I wanted to be back in Ohio I would definitely want to find a way to get my own set of wheels. Every time my folks have to leave the house, they end up making a big deal out of it. You would just assume they were preparing for an eventful weekend getaway just to head out to the grocery store.

I find it rather amusing when they begin acting like this. But at the same time, I like my independence and didn't want to be asking Ma and Pa if I could borrow their vehicle; those days were long gone. Plus, with the way they behave they would have been too worried about an imaginary emergency. From their viewpoint they just never knew when they might have to leave. It was strange if they actually ended up leaving the house.

While I was home I got to be at the hospital with the rest of the family as my sister and her husband gave birth. When the day finally arrived to drive them home I got to be the one that took on that amazing responsibility. I think the only thing they wanted to pay attention to was their new baby. Thankfully I had plenty of room to fit Mom in the SUV too, and we all got a the opportunity to be there when my new niece entered her home for the first time.
