First response vehicles are all different. They all need different equipment and different items to enable the personnel to carry out their duties. What you find in and on a fire truck will be completely different to what is needed on say a police cruiser. A tow truck will need far different kit to that needed by emergency medical teams. Each first response vehicle has a specific type of duties it needs to assist with and therefore they all must be individually kitted and equipped. What all first responders do need is lighting and Lightbar LED units of some description are a must.

You can find items that crossover such as emergency life saving equipment like defibrillators and general medical supplies for treating common injuries/accidents. Much of the kit a fire truck will need will be to do with rescue, fire fighting and will include things like breathing apparatus and masks. There is no way a police officer could need firefighting equipment or breathing apparatus as they should never find themselves in a situation to use them! Any first responders could be the first on the scene so they will need warning lights ...
... and Lightbar LED units are ideal.

Screaming sirens and flashing Lightbar LED units in use together allow first responders a certain amount of right of way on our roads. Time is of the utmost essence when dealing with any kind of emergency and seconds let alone minutes can make a world of difference. Clearing a path through heavy traffic is no mean feat and first responders need all the kit at their disposal to help. Lights, sirens, PA systems and even vibration or rumbler sirens are all deployed to help them get road users attention and get them to move.

Of course vehicles aren't always speeding to a scene or a road traffic accident, they can be stationary somewhere and arguably lighting is more important then. A dark, rain drenched stormy night on a rural road with no lighting is a very dangerous place, and for first responders working in such places it is very hazardous. Lightbar LED units can be utilized for many things and they have to be if they are to be worth the money paid for them. A police cruiser could have a tiered lightbar that has flashing beacons, strobes and bright LED lights, along with traffic advisors and take down lights.

LED is the way forward for emergency vehicle lighting and with very good reason. Many of the Lightbar LED units are extremely economical to run, have various different flash patterns, are easy to use and they give superior light. Add to those important things they also produce very little battery drain and will last for a long time with virtually no maintenance. Other lightbars are available but gradually all you will see is the LED versions, and the more that are made the more you will see on emergency vehicles of all kinds to warn us.
