Dysmenorrhea is a gynecological condition in which a woman has to suffer from so much pain that it may disturb her daily routine life. Also, the pain may be felt in the lower back and thighs. The symptoms occur right before ovulation, and may last till the end of your period. In addition a woman may suffer from nausea and vomiting, headache, disorientation, constipation or diarrhea, dizziness and fatigue. The home remedies for menstrual cramps may relieve many of the mentioned symptoms. Also, in some cases it is found that the symptoms might include hypersensitivity towards light, sound smell or touch. Additionally, a woman may suffer faintness during menstrual cycle. 1. Eat light meals several times a day instead of eating three large meals.

2. Apply heating pad on the painful abdominal part.

3. Take a wet towel and heat it in a microwave. Place the warm towel on the affected areas of abdomen.

4. In many cases dehydration was the cause for pain. Keep a water bottle with you to avoid dehydration.

5. Drinking herbal tea is a good option for relieving pain. There are many herbal teas available in market, choose the flavor you like.

6. In case of pain in the pelvic region; drink warmed lemonade to increase blood flow, and relax muscles of pelvic region.

7. Drink 75 milliliter juice of parsley, carrot cucumber or beet on a regular basis. It will treat the cramps effectively.

8. Beat a piece of ginger and cook it in a cup of water for 2 minutes. Add sugar to sweeten, and drink the mixture thrice daily after meals.
