The Visor Light - Now You See It, Now You Don't

A visor light can be used in many vehicles, not just first response vehicles. In the main, you will find any kind of visor light on a first response vehicle and there is good reason for that. A vehicle that is highly visible can do the job quickly and easily even if that means clearing traffic or warning someone to pull over. Lights in the visor area have another advantage and that is they can be concealed. The benefit of having any concealed lighting on a vehicle, especially a police one is that no one knows it's there until it's activated and that can be a boon in certain situations.
Visor lights come in various different color ways and flash patterns, in fact, they can be quite versatile. Under cover and surveillance vehicles often have some type of visor light as it can be either concealed or virtually invisible until its activated. If a police vehicle wants to remain anonymous then concealed lighting that can be switched on at the last minute to warn those around them. As with any kind of vehicle used by police, fire or medical personnel the undercover vehicles still have a need to be seen some ...
... of the time and the visor light is the ideal choice.
Visor lights have various different mounting options, with some being held by Velcro fastenings and others by straps to the visor itself. The power options are also numerous and they can be permanently wired into a vehicle or plugged in via the lighter. The versatility of these light units means they can be used in many different situations for a number of different reasons. There are some visor light units that feature take down lights, different flash patterns and a strobe effect light and these are ideal for police vehicles.
Visor light units can be used by other personnel other than police, which are the obvious choice. Emergency medical personnel who are on call may have use for a visor light to warn road users they are there or in attendance at a scene. Construction, municipal and some farm vehicles could have valid use for a visor light, so the market for such lighting is large. As with all emergency lighting, the visor light has to be highly visible, and to this end the main type of light used in them is LED lighting. LED lighting has many advantages over any other form of emergency lighting.
LED lighting has low power usage so produces very little battery drain. LED visor light units are very bright with many of the newer units containing new generation LED that makes the light output much higher. A visor light can illuminate the interior of the vehicle and provide additional lighting outside the vehicle at roadside if necessary. All in all the visor lighting units today are becoming more popular and more cost effective than the massive light bars we see. The fact that a visor light can be hidden or virtually invisible means you won't see it until the people inside the vehicle want you to and that gives them the edge.
