In our fast-paced modern world there are any number of stressors acting on your body and mind at all times. Whether it's a super demanding boss at work, screaming kids tugging at your legs and arms, or chores at home that never seem to ever be finished, stress is everywhere. And it's even worse if you're on the go, either an important business trip or group outing.
If only you could take a quick break with some of your favorite herbs to relax and unwind. Vaporizers are great because they heat up relatively quickly and provide a smoke-free experience which will further improve your mood because you know you are avoiding the carcinogens and toxins of burning plant material. But the average desktop or tabletop vaporizer is far too bulky to take with you on a trip.

Portable vaporizers are a great solution. There are several styles, models and modes of operating that gives you a wide choice when settling on the best one for you. In terms of portability and ease-of-use, vaporizers fall into 2 general categories: there are handheld vaporizers that will fit into ...
... a purse or briefcase. Secondly there are lightweight versions of bigger tabletop vaporizers. The most common in this size range are known as hotbox style vaporizers.

Hotbox style vaporizers are small square style construction with very light elements and smaller whips and adapter tubes. The whole idea was to shrink a large vaporizer to the size that is lighter while still being strong and convenient. Since they are simply a box they lend themselves to decoration and customization. As such, manufacturers have begun to provide multiple colors, designs and even different casing material to meet every taste.

Even though they are smaller, it is important to treat hotbox style or any portable vaporizer with the same respect that you would a larger model. The element can get extremely hot and although many of the tips are made of ceramics, you still have a small appliance operating at high heat. It is important to let it heat up for 5 to 10 min. before use and even then to treat it gently.

The whip is generally smaller on a hotbox style vaporizer and can be slightly fragile. Try not to raise or lower it much above or below the level that the boxes sitting in order to minimize any chance of breakage.

If you're a fan of vaporizers and need to head out of town, or want to go on a short jaunt outside the city, but don't want to leave your vaporizer behind-- don’t worry. There are number of portable vaporizers available to fit your travel and recreational needs.
