Technically, drug testing is a sophisticated process to analyze biological specimen to detect the presence of alcohol and other illicit elements. Nowadays, it has become a very common phenomenon in the country popularity being conducted in several institutions including schools and higher education institutes, probation offices, police departments and other workplaces. Different institutions conduct different drug testing methods as per the suitability and requirements. Each method is capable to detect the cases of drug abuse, so that it helps those institutions to grow and increase their productivity and of course to prevent a lot of deaths.

At present, there are several types of drug identification methods. Have a brief look at some of the major methods:

Urine Test
The urine test is the easiest, reliable and affordable drug testing that provides authentic information whether a person has taken illicit or intoxicating substances like alcohol. For example, you can detect the presence of alcohol in urine sample from 1.5 to 48 hours of its consumption. Ethyl Glucuronide is an advanced form of testing that ...
... can detect alcohol even after 80 hours. This method is applicable only to detect only the presence of alcohol, and you cannot determine whether a person is an addict of such materials. It is just used to get the result, but not to give conclusion about the influence.

Saliva Test
The saliva test is another sophisticated drug test that takes the saliva specimen to detect the presence of alcoholic material or anabolic drugs. This method is capable to give quick results, hardly within 10 to 24 hours after the consumption of alcohol. That's why many organizations prefer it to conduct over their employees.

Blood Test
The blood test is popular for delivering accurate results in drug detection. It is also a quick method that measures alcohol content in blood. This test is conducted in most criminal cases to determine whether the person has consumed anabolic elements up to the legally permissible limit. This drug testing method is not very expensive as home testing kits are available for the purpose.
