A CIO (Or Head of IT Jobs) is the person who provides strategic and tactical direction to the organization he is working into. He is the person approached by the staff for guidance and solutions on the issues plaguing the IT department in the organization. No matter what industry and organization he is into, the job profile of a CIO has now become much more challenging than ever before. One really needs to have a strong desire for constant learning and the ability to deploy the best of technologies to survive the competition and remain profitable.
A successful CIO (Or Head of IT Jobs) also comes out with effective plans to cut-down the operational costs in the organization. Now this is where, he needs the support of other top senior management professionals, such as CFO, COO and CEO. So, a lot depends on how he presents his ideas and supports them with real life case-studies. And now with the advent of Web 2.0 and Cloud’s entry, he has to keep the security aspects of the business on priority as well. Apart from all this, there are countless issues that can crop-up every single day with the IT side of an organization ...

In the recent few years, the job profiles of CIOs have been seeing new twists and turns. Now it is not just about handling, maintaining and leading the IT part in an organization, it is much more than that. And this seems to be just a beginning of a new era for the IT bosses (or Head of IT jobs) in India.
