Sleep Disorder: Causes, Symptoms And Its Treatment

Sleep disorders can relate to sleeping difficulties including obscurity, falling or staying asleep, work load, bad eating habits, inappropriate time for sleep and unnecessary total sleep time. In some occurrences sleeping disorders can also disturb a person’s physical, mental and emotional activity together with status in society. Normally it is caused with aging, mental illness, tiredness, night shift, genetics, physical illness, blindness, and life style changes. Regular diet and lifestyle changes can help to cure those affected by the disease. One should strictly follow up a schedule with regular exercise, yoga, and meditation that can help in rendering relaxation to the body and is good for overall health.

Certain other factors are also held responsible for this condition like work pressure, pending work, separation, personal activities, alcohol, certain medications, physical discomfort, and worry about certain things that can lead to stress and anxiety. Insomnia is a common symptom and includes the inability to fall asleep at bedtime, repeated awakening during the night. Again, sleep disorders can have feelings of tiredness, and unable to work properly or disruption in normal functioning. Regular sleeping habit, a quite sleep environment, regular exercise, life style changes, and healthy diet play an important role which help in preventing sleep disorders.
Treatments provide a safe and gentle cure for this disease. Different signs and symptoms have different treatments, so a person should be aware the symptoms. General awareness of the symptoms is helpful in identifying and treating the sickness and that kind of treatment to follow. There are number of treatments available in the market. Treatment of sleep disorder starts with what and how a person should eat, and this depends on the diet. One should try to make a change the diet, lifestyle; take appropriate rest, regular exercise, yoga, meditation and refresh the mood. Treatment for sleep disorder like massage, behavioral and cognitive therapy, relaxation techniques, jogging, and other sport activities helps easing stress in the body and relaxes muscle tension as well. These activities promote overall relaxation of the body and helps in getting a good amount of sleep at night.
