The game industry has evolved from the regular and basic handheld video games to three dimensional real time images. Recent addition to the high-end gaming devices is the Nintendo 3DS. This much awaited Nintendo 3DS was first released in Japan, and later in Europe and North America. Though it has a different set of games offered during the launch in varied regions, the basic hardware remains the same despite the regions.
Nintendo 3DS also caused a slight amount of displeasure during its release due to its pricing.
Inflation has caught up everywhere which includes the gaming industry too. It was announced the Nintendo 3DS price in the United States of America would be around $249.99. This means it is costlier than Wii by $50 to $70 and DS which costs $149.99 during its launch. Though the Nintendo 3DS was first launched in Japan and other European Countries, the handheld device United States pricing are far better than the former. The games that go with the Nintendo 3DS are also costlier in European countries and Japan when compared to the United States. The games available in the United States do not exceed $39.99 while the cheapest rate of the games in Europe is between $48.33 and $64.45. The price of the games available in Japan ranges between $58.79 and $74.59. The price of the high end games such as Zelda or Mario would be higher by $10 in the United States, but would be cheaper compared to Japan and the United Kingdom.
