Cancun Real Estate; Another Tourism Prize For Cancun

The quality of visiting Cancun as a tourist and living in Cancun as an expat go hand in hand; for this reason, it is good reflection of the quality of life one can enjoy by buying Cancun real estate that the area has won yet another prize in tourism.

The most recent award came in late March 2011, when Cancun was awarded Best Destination in the Caribbean, North and South America from Travel.ru, one of the top three online travel agencies in Russia. The award was given during the International Fair of Tourism and Travel in Moscow (MITT), held from March 16 to 19, and was received by the Cancun Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB).

While the area's visitors are still Americans in the vast majority, the prize was specifically given for the number of Russian visitors heading to this destination, and the quality of service offered; there are two point important for real estate buyers. Everything in Cancun is moving toward the international, bringing real benefits for the real estate market. International restaurants offer excellent variety in high-quality dining; international conventions, such as the summit on climate change during 2010 among many others, bring large-scale influxes of cash, and further international investment. International flights increase with more international tourism, helping Cancun to develop as an international travel hub; this, in turn, means more affordable direct flight options to the U.S. and beyond.

These points add to the already high quality of living to be found in Cancun, with professional golf courses, large shopping centers, Americans stores, such as Walmart or Home Depot, all at a very accessible cost.

The award from Travel.ru is just one more reflection that Cancun is heading in the direction of offering more – more activities, more real estate options, more investment, etc.

The Director of Promotion of the Cancun CVB, Jorge Luis Téllez, accompanied by the Ambassador of Mexico to Russia, Alfredo Perez Bravo, received the award, which not only recognized excellent numbers, but accredits this resort community as the best destination in the region in accordance with votes cast by users of this site, also enjoying the support of the leading Russian tour operators and airlines.

Because of the distinct combination of a high quality of modern lifestyle on the beachfront, and low cost of living, as well as the efforts of the Embassy of Mexico in Russia the number of Russian visitors increased from 1,500 in 2007 to over 30,000 in 2010.

If Russians can see the value of coming so far just for vacations, Americans should see the value of buying Cancun real estate only a couple of hours away.
