Modern Indian Art A Revelation On The Global Scene

Indian culture has over the year’s enamored, enchanted and enthralled people from across the world. Indian ethnic art has inspired zillions of artifacts. For the aficionados of Indian art, who for years could only buy Indian Art through auction houses that charged them millions, new avenues have come up to aid the process.
Indian art was always a huge draw on the international scene but the Indian artists have now become extremely popular world over. Many of our famous contemporary artists have gone on to get international fame for their works of art.
Modern Indian Art and Contemporary Indian art is fetching millions for the artistes. The art scene, the world over, has seen phases where one of the abstract, figurative or the landscape art became more popular over the others. For a person who prides himself as a patron of art it is a must to buy Indian art.
Abstract art attracts people with modern and contemporary tastes. Paintings are like manifestations of an artistes’ creativity. These are not meant to be chosen as per the décor or the ambience; they build an ambience of their own around them, ...
... with their own aura that can be subtle yet overpowering. It masks the appeal of everything else around but shines through as a piece of marvel that captivates and inspires.
Figurative art with its representational nature charms and takes you to the world it represents. You are drawn to the milieu in a way that you feel that the scene captured in the painting has extended its mystic beauty to the environs. It is a constant tussle between the reality and beyond as you lose yourself in the splendor of art.
In India, art has always been patronized by the rich and the famous. With the decline of the princely states, artists lost their patrons. But now again the artists are getting recognition; fame and money is also coming their way. The famous contemporary artists from India have come up the hard way without much support. The scene for artists today is much better. Young talent is getting its due and their work is being sold through portals. Their work is much more affordable for people who want a share of the pie but don’t quite have the purse to grab it.
Contemporary Indian Art is in the midst of a stage from where it is moving towards its golden age. This has been helped in part by the increasing Indian presence on the global art scene and also by the increasing corporate interest in retail of art pieces.
