If you are considering buying a Playa del Carmen villa, it is important that you consider a variety of features to ensure you will make the most of your property near one of the world's favorite beaches. The following are a few points to look for.

Access to the Beach – Since one of the main motivations for living in Playa del Carmen is the beautiful beaches, which many consider to be the most beautiful in the world, having convenient access to the beach is key. This does not mean you have to be right next to the waterfront; in fact, excellent properties for more accessible prices for the average budget can be found slightly back. However, it's nice to be a reasonable walking distance or bike ride away. For many people a short drive is acceptable. In this case confirm that there is good driving access.

Development Style – What is the surrounding area like? Are there golf courses, upscale developments, bike trails, parks, gated, secure access to the community? Features such as these not only offer a more comfortable lifestyle, but also help to support and bring up property values.

Price ...
... Competitiveness – While it may not be hard to find all of these features, it's even better when you can find a good deal on a villa in a nice community. For this reason, it's always worth considering new up-and-coming areas that are developing along the lines mentioned above.

Shopping Areas – Most people don't need a shopping center next door, but short driving access to good shopping areas is helpful. The part of Playa del Carmen back from the highway has a new area with a new mall and the city's second Walmart; a new upscale outdoor plaza and other shopping options are on the way.

Complex Style – After considering location factors, it's also important to review the complex itself. Large pools with plenty of green space help to make life comfortable. If it's a small complex, a smaller common area will also do the trick. Some buyers may prefer a larger complex with more amenities, others a smaller complex with more privacy.

These are some of the main points which make buyers comfortable not only with the Playa del Carmen villa itself, but also with the surrounding area, enjoying Playa del Carmen to its fullest.
