The dilemma: how do you keep your children active and happy for a few days or a week in the summer when they are under your tutelage?

First, since not everyone understands the term here’s a simple definition of Disneyland Dads: Term used to describe the role that some divorced fathers fulfill, whereby they tend their biological children during certain prescribed times during the year (much like a vacation) rather than having them in their care full time.

So, what is the solution? You have two weeks with two teenagers that expect to be entertained and regaled for the duration.

One answer is to keep the children active. Very active. Create situations where they can bond with their dad in a neutral setting, share activities with him, laugh with him (as opposed to at him), sit down to delicious meals together, share stories about the day’s events, and spend a few nights together in a unique tepee or airy canvas cabin.
