Autism is supposedly a complex disability of development that typically appears in childhood and is the result of a brain disorder that affects the normal function of brain. Both children and adults with autism typically show difficulty in social interactions, impaired verbal and nonverbal communication, a pattern of repetitive behavior with narrow, restricted interests or even playing activities etc.
A child with this disorder often displays abnormal reactions, touches can be often a painful experience, mild smells can be perceived as unpleasant, loud noises like or crowded places can trigger extended crying sessions, all these are typical symptoms of autism. Other signs and symptoms among children affected by autism are: they appear not to respond appropriately to surroundings, a lack of interest, lack of response, preference for loneliness, resistance to cuddles.
