Being someone who loves history, I have always dreamt of travelling to famous historical sites and in the world like Cairo, Istanbul, Berlin and of course, Athens. Athens is one of the cities that seem to be very interesting since it is widely known as the city with the most glorious history in the world. This is a city worshipped by gods and people, and is often considered as a magical city.
This city, being the capital of Greece has always been a birthplace of civilization. This is where many wise men of ancient times were born. This is the place where democracy was first established. It would then be very exciting to visit different places where you can see and feel the traces of history.
One of the most popular historical sites in Athens is the Acropolis, also called the “Sacred Rock” of Athens. It is also considered as the most recognizable monuments of the world as it represents the artistic development in 5th century BC. No wonder why a historian would love to travel in this city as there are many wonderful places to be found here.
