There are many states that have laws that limit how long a teenager can work each week and when they can get a job. This makes it difficult for teenagers to earn money for things such as cars, dates, and clothes. The way for a teenager to earn these things is for them to go into business for themselves.

In order to make sure that the teenager succeeds, here are some of the rules that they must follow.

The teenager should have the ability to promote their business to various customers. Therefore, they should be able to talk to people and try selling them something. Obviously, they won’t have a business without customers.

Obviously, the teenager should be able to make a profit with the business. This can be more difficult than it sounds. They should be able to set their own prices, stick to and collect them.

The teenager should be able to satisfy the customer. If they don’t do a good job with their business they will lose customers. However, if they do satisfy their customers, there is the real possibility that the customer will recommend them to others which will actually increase their ...

When running their business, the teenager should be able to prevent serious errors in judgment. When they do something wrong, whether it’s their fault or not, it may result in bad publicity, disappoint, anger, and possibly even a lawsuit. They should run the business with the full knowledge of an adult family member so that if anything bad should happen they will deal with it immediately.

The teenager should be willing to work long hours to establish their business and more hours running their business. They must be truly determined and dedicated to establish and run their own business.

Here are some of the businesses that are suitable for teenagers.

Perhaps the teenager dislikes cleaning up at home, but getting paid for cleaning is entirely different. They can offer specialize in many areas of cleaning like garage, basement, or attics or offer complete housecleaning services.

There is always some type of lawn work that has to be done. In the fall and winter there is planting for the spring season, raking leaves, and shoveling snow. In the spring and summer there is weed control and cutting grass.

There are many people who have a busy lifestyle because they work more than one job and seldom have the time to really take good care of their vehicles. The teenager can provide a monthly or weekly service of vacuuming, waxing, and washing a customer’s vehicle. .

Because people usually go on vacation in the summertime, a service for sitting pets is usually a somewhat summertime business. However, the teenager may be able to provide services all year around if they offer cleaning, bathing, and walking services. .

If the teenager is good at using the Internet and computers they may be able to offering tutoring services to adults who are not computer or Internet savvy. This business helps people and their families learn how to develop their own websites for their businesses and how to use their computers.

If the teenager enjoys baking and cooking they can offer a service that will provide home cooked meals.

If the teenager has some experience they can go into the painting business. People are always renovating and they can paint interiors in the wintertime and exteriors in the summertime.

Another business that is good for teenagers is that of a delivery service or an errand, messenger. This will work the best in large cities where most of the people use public transportation since the times are busy and people will need help with all sorts of deliveries and errands.

If the teenager has expertise in areas such a science, math, foreign languages, music, and other subjects, they can provide tutoring sessions to adults, other teenagers, and the children in their neighborhood.

If the teenage has expertise at creating websites, maybe they can start a business on the Internet. Their potential customers don’t have to be local and they could come from anywhere in the world.

If the teenager is really good in a certain fields like photography, drawing, or writing they could start a freelancing business where they sell their goods to various media outlets and businesses.
