First beta version of Firefox 4 is introduced with mixed features of some design ideas from Google Chrome and some of its own features to become best among all browsers available. It features increased stability, improved readability and less memory hogging.

Some noticeable features in new Firefox 4 which gives overall better performance is:-

• It has used TraceMonkey JavaScript engine which is giving it speed and better performance than ever before. Previous version of Firefox was already fast but this makes it the fastest browser which will benefit web applications like e-mails, pictures, and others will be more faster to load and more responsive.
• It is now using less computer memory when it is running on any computer. This is again beneficial to improve on its speed and performance.

• Supports WebM format for HD-quality video, 3D graphics through WebGL, animations through CSS3 and multi touch support.
• URL field can be updated by programmers easily without actually reloading the page by using HTML APIs and Link history lookup can be done asynchronously to provide better responsiveness during reloading the page.

The biggest change in Firefox 4 outlook is now tabs range along above the address bar which is named as “Awesome Bar.” This change can be only seen in Windows 7 or Vista and not in Windows 2000 or XP. The space dedicated to awesome bar and the navigation buttons is also being reduced to give more importance to the content on web pages because of title of the page can be noticed and seen easily. The navigation buttons are now more simplified like reload and stop button is combined to one button.

Moreover, clock like icon is included on the tabs as to know how much time it takes to load a page and knowing the speed of the page, menus is discarded from the new Firefox giving it more simpler and sleek look, and addition of star button on the right hand side which allows to browse through bookmarks.

Some personalizations changes are also have been done. There are thousands of themes now available which are easy to install which gives your Firefox a total new look, new search engines can be added, toolbar preferences can be changed, size and shapes of navigation buttons can be altered and it has more than 70 language translations giving universal access to the web. The overall intention is to give new Firefox a modern and classy look.
