Traveling with a baby is fun, but can also be stressful.However, staying at home with bored children has challenges of its own! When travelling with children and young babies it is important to bring the right equipment.An easy way to make your journey safe for your baby and fun for you is to prepare a baby travel kit.This should include basic stuff like:

>> Baby Feeding Stuff.For when babies and children get thirsty, bring bottles with sealed lids. If the contents needs to be kept cold, bring an insulated bag with an ice pack.

>> Snacks. Bring some snacks in case you can’t buy any of the right food.

>> Baby Nappies and baby wipes

>> Baby Changing mat. After all, changing nappies can be a messy business

>> Baby first aid kit. This should include antiseptic wipes, antibiotic ointments, burn relief cream and plasters.

>> Sun protection. Babies and children have sensitive skin which can burn easily. Always pack sun hat or coverings to protect them when going outside.

>> Extra Baby clothes (according to the season). Lots of warm clothes in winter!

Transporting your baby

If your baby is younger than 15 months, you might opt for a baby carrier.This maintains a bond between your little one and yourself.However past a certain weight, it is definitely preferable to use a buggy. Strollers are ideal for going on holidays as they are the lightest pushchairs available and especially good for public transport as they fold easily.

Car Seats

When travelling by car it is mandatory in most countries to use a car seat .The car seat should be new.Do not be tempted to use a second hand one, you don't know if it has been damaged and its safety compromised.The size of the car seat should also be right for your child.Car seat sizes are based on the weight of the child and should be clearly stated by the manufacturer.
