Cheap hotel rooms is a universal need for millions of travellers; they can be hard to find, but they are out there.

At some point we have all met a friend who has travelled through South-East-Asia; not only have they made us green with their stories of amazing sunsets and peachy sandy beaches, but they have slipped in the cost of their trip. Or, rather, lack of costs. £10 beach huts in Thailand which has comfy beds, air conditioning, flat screen tv’s are a far far cry of what you can get in Europe for the same price.

This is all true. One thing I think we need to remember though is that there are cheap hotel rooms in Europe and England if we look. Of course, it would be silly not to realise the other great cities that England offers. Manchester is without doubt a fabulous second city which compliments the north perfectly. If you want a big night out you can hit the Print Works; if you want to upgrade a bit head to Deansgate and party with Manchester’s 30-somethings on the weekend. You can really shop till you drop in Manchester, head to the Trafford centre. Looking for something non-commercial? The Northern Quarter it is, dubbed a small ‘New York’ filled with little cafes, vintage stores, charity chops, exciting bars and lots of alleyways.
