An Interesting Look At Indian Horoscopes

It seems to be a tradition for many people to check their horoscope in the morning. In the past, most turned to the newspaper, but today's technology allows them to have their daily horoscope sent right to their email. While the one that is popular today is based on the Sun signs, a rather older and some say more accurate reading is based on the Moon signs found in Indian horsocopes.
This type of horoscope is based on Indian's astrology using moon signs, a technique that has been around for thousands of years. It is done by determining the position of the planets and their affect to different systems. Mathematical methods are used to calculate, interpret, and analyze the systems to create a unique, detailed, and accurate horoscope.
Because the moon is in a sense nature's clock, its rhythms and cycles have been relied on for centuries by many different people, especially those who use nature as a part of their life. Many people already realize that it has a very powerful effect on life and emotions. Where the Sun shows a central sense of individual egos, moon readings personalizes and represents the mind ...
... and emotions.
To determine your moon sign, you need your date of birth, along with the time you were born and where you born. According to the moon's placement at birth, your Moon sign is generally different from your Sun sign. One example is a Sun sign Virgo born on the east coast in the evening would be a Moon sign Leo when using India's moon system.
When the two types of astrology are compared, Indian vs. Western, there are many general principles found in both. Some things are the same such as the twelve aspects of human life, which are the houses, and characteristics of the planets. However, in many ways they are still different from each other, such as India's astrology system has an addition 27 subdivision overlaid onto the twelve signs in the chart.
Because of the way each system works, predictions based on the moon are considered more accurate and specific. Many consider Sun sign prediction generic because all persons born under a certain sign would have the same characteristics. However, with the moon, two people born on the same date but at different times or locations may have different Moon signs, thus different characteristics.
Many people still consult their horoscope before heading out the door in the morning, whether in a newspaper or online. In the past, most only had access to the Sun sign readings, which may or may not apply to them on any given day. However, with technology and spreading knowledge of Indian horsocopes, many are turning to them for a more accurate and precise outlook for their day or week.
