Caillou is a popular character from a television show in the 1990s. This character is a lovable young boy with a big imagination. The show circulates all around the process of growing up and learning about things in life. It was first aired in Canada in the late 1990s, but began airing in the United States in 2000. The series finale was this past October.
As Caillou is only broadcast on PBS this makes the many dolls and games based on the character are highly sought after. They are still available for purchase, but can be difficult to find. There are many examples of Caillou games for children to choose from.

Bingo is one of the most popular Caillou games for young children. This game includes the basics of the game of bingo with a focus on the Caillou character. A player must still make a straight line just as in bingo in order to win. The Caillou bingo game does not have letters and numbers, but instead uses pictures. The reason is that the Caillou bingo game focuses on increasing a child’s skill of observation.

Other Caillou games exist and many are popular children’s games. One other popular game ...
... is the Memory or Match It Caillou game. This is game is designed after the famous child’s game of Memory. Memory is played by two or more players. The players flip picture cards up side right in an attempt to find the exact match. The Memory Caillou game includes pictures from the Caillou television series. Therefore, Caillou, his mom, and many of his friends are included in the game.

Other Caillou games may resemble traditional children games. The Caillou Discovery game has a plastic bubble which is a pop-up-dice roller. This is a fun way for children to roll dice and resembles another game called Trouble. This Caillou game though includes a variety of fun events throughout the game for children to experience.

These Caillou games are often difficult to find as the series has ended. Most large toy stores do not carry many, if at all, of the Caillou games and other toys produced. This forces people to search online for Caillou games or may require one to special order the item. Some companies still realize the high demand of Caillou games and thus keep a stock of the most popular items. One company is called KimmyShop and has a wide selection in its online store.
